If you’re thinking of doing a Light Reflections session, here are some things to keep in mind!
Getting the light in these shapes can be a process of technique, luck, and patience. It’s a moving living thing that we are capturing and wrangling, so a little creative collaboration and adventurous spirit is essential.
Choose a simple outfit, like this whisper of fabric pictured above, for a dreamy minimalist vibe. Something romantic and whimsical would work well here too, or a simple bodysuit, or only your skin, but let the form and light be the star of this session.
Do good body prep - we’re really seeing a lot of skin in this session, so having your skin feeling it’s best is worth the extra step to exfoliate and moisturize leading up to the session. A light spray tan or self tan would work well here too.
The dreamy, etherial, editorial vibe of this session really lets you play with some stronger makeup looks if you like, go totally minimalist and fresh faced. Think about the emotions you’d like to express and capture, being bathed in this shimmering light is a great chance to express yourself!
