The Lightbox Photoshoot - Session Spotlight #1

Today I thought I would share some examples of what real client sessions look like in different styles. Not just the best photo I post on Instagram, but the full range of different poses, expressions, little variations that come together to tell a story.

Today we’re featuring this absolutely lovely client, she’d never done a shoot before, but wanted to create an album for herself and as a groom’s gift before her wedding. She chose to do a few different looks, but I chose to share with you the photos from one of my favorite and most popular styles, The Lightbox. It’s popular for a good reason, especially with my clients looking to do a Bridal Boudoir session before their wedding day. You can choose to go super bridal, and bring in your veil, wedding shoes, jewelry, even your whole dress if you want, {See this post for the full Bridal Boudoir Session Guide}. Although, many clients that are getting married want to do something Bridal inspired, but less on-the-nose, so Lightbox is a great way to do something light and airy, but more individually styled.

This lovely client did do a few other looks, so we didn’t spend the whole time on Lightbox, but even so, there are 20 images here that are a great example of the types of poses we do, some variations of looking, not looking, slight differences that change the mood a bit. I also love the outfit this lovely client chose. She has a beautiful lace teddy/bodysuit, and a sheer flowy skirt that she can add on for a few shots. The whole thing feels super soft and light, while her expression and posing feels elegant and powerful. I hope you enjoy looking through this session and that it might inspire you for your own shoot with me.

xo, Petra
