Behind The Lens

“BOUDOIR” (/ˈbu:dwa:r/; French: [bu.dwaʁ]) The word 'boudoir' comes from the French meaning 'a woman's bedroom' or 'powder room'. Now the term is widely used to describe portraits that are sexy, intimate, and usually but not always taken in a bedroom setting. To me, it means images that reflect the incredible woman you are, in an artistic and modern way.

What is a session with me like?

A photoshoot with me is fun, private, and laid back. No assistants, giant lights, clunky gear, or blaring techno music. The studio is set up like a little apartment with soft bedding, minimal furniture, and soft grey walls. I use natural light and reflectors to control it. I coach you through every pose, you will never be asked to “just act sexy” or pose on your own.

Right now maybe you’re a little on the fence about this whole boudoir photoshoot thing, and I totally get that, you’re in good company. All the women you see in the gallery below and in my portfolio were once in the exact same position as you. My hope is that you embrace your fear and vulnerability, and do it anyway.
